A simple square tarp is probably the most universal and multifunctional type of personal shelter there is, not nearly as fancy as a tent but extremely versatile. 275 x 275 cm is big enough to shelter one or two persons relatively comfortably.
A total of 17 tie-down loops, one in the centre, the rest in the four corners and along the edges, offering numerous different pitching options. This enables you to tweak your shelter depending on the situation, terrain and weather.
If you require near infrared signature management, check out the “IRR version”.
Note: no cordage or straps for pitching are included with the tarp!
“Laavu” is Finnish for a lean-to type shelter, which has led to tarps being commonly called “laavukangas”, literally translated that would be “lean-to shelter fabric”. So as Finns our tarps are named Laavu!

Top quality, sturdy feel. Doesn’t take up a lot of space when folded up and has plenty of tie out points. I can’t wait to use it out in the field!
