Which Savotta backpack should I choose?
Choosing the right Savotta backpack depends on several factors, including capacity needs, trip duration and the environment you will be using it in.

Small & Daypacks (12–30L) Great for everyday use, short hikes and basic outdoor activities. Most packs can be expanded with extra pouches for more capacity on occasional overnight trips too.

Large backpacks and rucksacks (55L +) Built to handle heavy loads and extended trips. Ideal for longer hikes, expedition gear, camping equipment, etc.
What are Savotta backpacks made of?
Savotta backpacks are primarily made from heavy-duty Cordura® nylon fabric. The main body typically being 1000D and back pads and roll top closures being lighter 500D. The fabric also features polyurethane coating for water resistance. Shoulder straps, PALS attachment points and compression straps are strong 100% polyester webbing. Steel and acetal are used for components like hooks and buckles, ensuring ruggedness and repairability.
All materials chosen are aimed at long life and heavy use outdoors or in demanding settings.
Where are Savotta products made?
Our products are made in our own facilities in Finland and Estonia. Due to the ever-increasing demand some of our manufacturing is done by subcontractors, the select few subcontractors we use are based in Finland, Estonia and Poland. Are Savotta backpacks waterproof?
Savotta backpacks are water resistant but not fully waterproof. While the materials are waterproof, the seams and closure aren’t entirely sealed.
Are Savotta backpacks long-lasting?
Yes. Savotta backpacks are designed for demanding use and made from highly durable materials, many of which are also used in military and professional applications.
