Is your backpack broken, equipment damaged, or do you need personalized modifications?

With the help of Savotta's Gear care service, you can get your equipment back to field-ready condition. The service is intended for minor damage that can be repaired, such as a broken buckle or zipper, a hole or a broken seam.

We can also make small modifications to our products. While adjustments may be limited, it’s always worth reaching out to us first to see what’s possible!

How it works

  • Contact us by e-mail at gearcare[at]savotta.fi
  • Title your e‑mail according to the case: use “Repair: product name” or “Modification: product name” depending on what you need.
  • Describe what has happened, highlighting any faults or damages. If you's like a feature to be modified, please describe the requested change as clearly and thoroughly as possible.
  • If the product has a label, send a picture of it on both sides as well. The label shows the brand and model of the product, as well as the date of manufacture. For backpacks, it’s usually located on the inside of the mouth opening.
  • Once we receive this information, our experts will evaluate the product and determine if it can be repaired or modified. You’ll also receive a cost estimate for the repair or modification. The pricing is 60€/hour including the standard materials we commonly use. If a repair or modification requires specialized materials or uncommon components, their cost will be added to the service price.
  • You will then receive an offer and further instructions from our team within 1-5 days by e-mail after we assess your case.

  • We only repair and modify products manufactured by Savotta
  • Our Gear care service is only available within the EU
  • We do not create products from scratch
  • You can order a brand‑new product from our web shop with the modification included, but please note that in this case the right to return is cancelled, as the item becomes a customised product that we’re not able to resell
