It's a side pouch, you know what it is and what it does. It's made by Savotta so you know it will be of the best construction. I want to focus on the size of the 8 liter though. I had two on my Jäkääri XL (on which they fit perfectly) during a week-long hike. I used one of the pouches as my food and cooking compartment for the day. As it could fit my entire Trangia 27 kit, fuel bottle, the days ration of food and snacks and the cutlery needed. Loved to have all that available and contained in one single compartment, not needing to open the pack and dig around.

My experience with the Savotta Varjelus Plate Carrier has been excellent. And it doesn't stop at the Varjelus; I also use their backpacks and pouches, and I am very satisfied with them. The products are extremely durable—they can literally withstand war—and this has been proven by many users.
An ideal size for daily use and the bag’s full opening can prove very practical. The backpack is very high quality and very sturdy!

Absolutely flawless. I’ve just spent a full month backpacking around Peru with this backpack, putting it through pretty much every environment you can imagine — from the desert and dry heat of Lima to the cold, high-altitude Andes, as well as rain, dust, sand and long days of travelling by bus and hiking. The comfort is simply outstanding. What I love most about this backpack is how incredibly adaptable and customizable it is. You can really make it fit your own way of travelling, which makes a huge difference when you’re carrying it for hours every day. I would have loved to have been able to get the 60L version as well, as I’m already thinking about using the backpack for longer expeditions and more demanding trips. Honestly, this feels like the kind of backpack you buy once and keep for life. I did manage to break one of the zippers on the lid, but honestly, that was after giving the backpack a lot of abuse over the month. And even then, I had a spare zipper with me and replaced it in just a few minutes, so it wasn’t really an issue. The backpack performed incredibly well in the rain, cold, heat, sand and dust. After a month of putting it through all kinds of conditions, it still looks and feels ready for the next adventure. For me, this is what a proper outdoor backpack should be: extremely durable, comfortable, versatile and built to be used hard. I’m already looking forward to taking it on my next expedition and trying more Savotta gear in the future. Thank you for making equipment that feels genuinely built for a lifetime. Careful everyone, if you say Khahakka 3 times in the woods, you summon the spirit of Simo Häyhä, and if there are no Russians for him to haunt, you have to appease his spirit with all of your cured meats. It is known. This pack is built like farm equipment, distributes it's load evenly, and is fully adjustable to a larger frame. At 15 liters, it sounds small, but it's been molded by Finnish Forest Shaman and is not bound by physical dimensions. They don't include that information in the product description so as not to scare people, you have to email them. The side pockets are amazingly useful, they fit all manner of tools, water containers and gear. A 20 liter dry bag fits in the main compartment and conforms to the square shape better than a 15l and is just small enough to roll down and clip, keeping your rain gear/insulation layers or sensitive stuff dry. I use mine as a woods day bag that fits all the essentials (Food, emergency shelter, shemagh, lighter, navigation, small ifak, first aid, cordage and rigging, water/ filter system, repair, signaling, power bank, headlamp, knife.) It carries a 15 pound load like it's nothing, the side pockets hold my canteens firmly with no wiggle, and the main compartment is easily organized and accessible. It reminds me of a mussette bag, if it went to Finland, got rebuilt as a tractor and has returned ready to outlive us all.
Used in combination with the valjas belt and created an exceptionally convenient motorcycle waist bag. Can be placed also on top of the jacket since the belt has a lot of adjustment. Stitched inside the remaining Velcro from the happy patch and added elastic organiser and trinket pouch placement. Super heavy duty, the belt can pass through the nukka back pack an have additional waist support and pouches added.

I really like this bottle, but in my case, the water tastes like plastic after a few hours. This is the only thing i don't like. So, either drink fast oder don't use it as storage.
Super fast delivery, kitted it out with the aluminium frame the s-ifak and som cord for keeping essential gear within easy reach. I have been on a few trips both in the forest and a few citybreaks. Its the perfect size for 3-4 days long hikes. Really comfortable to carry even with 10kg load.

Most comfortable rucksack I’ve worn with heavy loads. It even doubles as a child carrier, as the lid surface (ymmv) fits even an eight-year-old comfortably when they’re juiced out. I can heartily recommend the outdoors, in general.
Well, LOVE IT! Absolutely comfortable, even if a little overpacked! Quality of the products is, at least, a hundred times better than that bad 360 image quality! :D
Best all round sling/hip pack ever. Fits two 1.2L Yeti bottles, a bunch of tech gear, snacks and more. A bit big as a sling but the versatility is unmatched. When it gets too heavy, I just use it as a hip pack to make the weight more manageable. Added split buckles so I can quick mount it to my backpack. Couldn't be happier! PALS on the outside makes it super moddable, with good organization on the inside.

The backpack fits perfectly on the back. It feels bigger than its size thanks to the side pockets. It has been in everyday use and on various trips. It is also well-suited for mountain biking. Simply an amazing pack! I got this to replace my 3 day USMC assault pack and its way better in every way. For one this can easily hold over 30L in its main compartment if you overfill and it fits me very well. I would recommend getting shoulder strap pads as these don't come with any padding. Overall this is a great pack and ill use it for years to come.
I've been really happy with the Savotta accessories I've added to my Kahakka 15. Everything feels well thought out, durable, and genuinely useful in the field. One thing that really impressed me was the pack's carrying capability. I was able to load 5 kg of nails and carry a hammer and the setup handled the weight without any issues. It proved that the Kahakka 15 is much more capable than its compact size suggests. Pack Straps - I was able to securely strap a stuffsack to my pack with no issues. Simple, versatile, and reliable. S-IFAK Vertical Mount - Fits my Ortovox medical kit perfectly, making it easy to access while keeping everything secure. Rolltop Stuffsack - A great fit for carrying my hiking boots, keeping the rest of my gear clean. Zipped GP Pouch 2x2 - Perfect size for the essentials like disinfectant, sunscreen, and a headlamp. It keeps small items organised and easy to find. Side Pouch 4L - Fantastic for carrying a day's food ration, and it also had no problem securely carrying a hammer when I needed it. The extra capacity is incredibly useful. Elastic Strap Keepers - A small accessory that makes a big difference. They keep all the loose strap ends neat and tidy. Sitting Pad - An absolute lifesaver. It came in handy when I had to sit on a wet rock, making breaks much more comfortable. Overall, every accessory has proven to be practical rather than just "nice to have." Savotta's attention to functionality and quality really shows, and together with the Kahakka 15 they make for a highly capable, organised, and versatile hiking setup.
Rolltop Stuffsack is a great fit for carrying my hiking boots, keeping the rest of my gear clean. I'd strap it to the backpack, or it's easy to carry in hand.
S-IFAK Vertical Mount fits my Ortovox First Aid roll doc large medical kit perfectly, making it easy to access while keeping everything secure. It's peeking orange on the photo, but I was able to tighten it more over time.

Je n’ai jamais été déçu une seule fois de la marque SAVOTTA, tous leurs équipements sont très pratiques très robuste et agréable à utiliser. Je connais la marque depuis plus de deux ans, date à laquelle j’ai acheté mon premier sac un KAHAKKA 25 L qui m’accompagne partout, j’ai récemment ajouté le ASKARE et le RINTAMUS offert par proche. J’ai encore un panier rempli à commander de beaucoup de petites babioles pouvant êtres très utile pour ces sacs et les sorties que je ferais. Je recommande vivement SAVOTTA
