Need a heavy duty duffel bag or a multifunctional hip pack? Our 1000D Cordura duffel bags and 500D hip packs offer multiple carrying options and are built for real use. Most of our gear is made to meet Finnish military specs, and our duffel bags are no exception.
What are Savotta Bags made of?
Savotta duffel bags and hip packs are primarily made from heavy-duty Cordura® nylon fabric, typically 1000D or 500D. The fabric also features polyurethane coating for water resistance. Straps and PALS attachment points are strong 100% polyester webbing. Steel and acetal are used for components like hooks and buckles, ensuring ruggedness and repairability.
All materials chosen are aimed at long life and heavy use outdoors or in demanding settings.
Where are Savotta products made?
Our products are made in our own facilities in Finland and Estonia. Due to the ever-increasing demand some of our manufacturing is done by subcontractors, the select few subcontractors we use are based in Finland, Estonia and Poland. Are Savotta duffels and hip packs waterproof?
All Savotta backpacks, bags and pouches are water resistant but not fully waterproof with the water pillar value of approx. 1500 mm. This means our products can handle a light rain, but in heavy rain or prolonged stay in light rain the water will eventually seep through.
We recommend you always pack your moisture sensitive gear in waterproof stuffsacks to make sure they stay dry.
