The X-harness is made from 25 mm webbing, giving it a slim and low profile for unobtrusive carry under backpack shoulder straps. The harness attaches to the top and bottom corners via SR buckles. Being rather compact in size you won’t be loading this too heavy, thus the 25 mm wide harness straps are perfectly adequate for a chest pack of this size.
The interior features a number of options for organizing your gear: three large elastic webbing loops, two small and one large flat compartment, tie-down loops and a loop surface for attaching hook-backed organizers.
The rear wall has a large flat compartment for larger items. On top of the compartment a single row of 50 mm elastic webbing is sewn, forming three ca. 8 cm wide loops, suitable for organizing smaller items.
The front wall has two small flat compartments, with tie-down loops on top. A 20 x 10 cm loop surface on the inside of the front all allows you attachment of all sorts of hook-backed organizers etc.
A large, open-ended flat compartment on the back of the pack allows you to stow flat items. This can also be used to tuck the shoulder harness away when you attach the pack to your backpack.
PALS webbing on the front and bottom allows you to attach small pouches, elastic cords and accessories.
Optional carry methods: The webbing loops on the top and the PALS webbing on the bottom can be used to quick-attach the pack to the side compression straps of a backpack by using additional SR buckles or G-hooks. You can also unclip the harness and, using suitable buckles and imagination, clip the pack directly to the shoulder straps on your backpack. Note: no extra buckles are included with the pack, only the buckles used on the harness.

The Rintamus chest pack has worked very well on short trips. It can easily carry fire starters, a knife, first aid supplies, and other small items. I keep it in my car so it's always available when needed.

I use this moderately sized chest bag to carry EDC items, as well as my wallet and phone. It suits me very well for commuting to work.
I can wear it securely on my chest, and the webbing on the bag makes it very easy for me to attach many clips, which helps free up my hands to handle other tasks.

Great Chestpack! Perfect Size for me. Holds up very well, as always...
The only thing which i am missing is more PALS-Webbing on the front. Maybe a smaller Patch Area or include the webbing in it.

High quality chestpack, used it a lot on hikes and for fishing. Also ideal for commute by bicycle to work fits working shirt and lunch. Looking forward to using it on our holiday next year in the swedish wilderness.
overall cool bag with lots of functionality and stable resistant material, satisfying secure clicks each time you strap it on.
one weakness: the paracord ring that holds together the back straps snapped at really light pressure when stretching once I put it on - if this happens in the field good luck :(

Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify, did the elastic cord itself actually snap, or did the knot simply come undone?
If the elastic cord snapped, please get in touch with our customer support. That definitely should not happen, especially under light pressure, and we’d like to look into it.
If it was just the knot that came undone, knots can occasionally work themselves loose. In that case, retying it with a new, tighter knot should do the trick.

Great build-quality, very convenient size and access and adaptability (when not used as a chest pack/ in the city I use it as a fanny pack). The inner compartment is well organized too. It's a 10/10 for me, though keep in mind that i dont have any other chestpacks as reference. This did 110% of the job I needed it to do for me tho.
One minor idea I'd like to mention tho is, to maybe add the webbing loops that are on the front side, to the sides somewhere beneath the zipper as well. Dangling and attaching stuff from the front and bottom is awesome, but dangling from the side might be cool too ;)
Erinomainen. En vain millään ilveellä onnistunut yhdistämään Kantamus40:n valjaisiin toimivasti. Jäi yleensä liian lähelle kaulaa. Toimii kyllä yhdessä rinkan kanssa Rintamuksen omien valjaiden kanssa.
Erittäin näppärä rintalaukku. Pitkään on ollut tarkoituksena hankkia tällainen rintalaukku kalastus / erä hommia varten ja nyt osu kerrasta nappiin. Tuntuma Savotan taattua, tilavuus passeli, riittävästi lokerointi mahdollisuuksia ja mollella sitten loput. En näkisi pahana jos olisi jotkin pehmike sukat olkahihnoille optiona, ei pakolliset mutta ostaisin. Iso suositus jos tarvetta rintalaukulle.
Its a great piece of gear for a day trip in the field. My personal preference would be a way to attach a chestpack on my daypack. This way, it gives me extra space and a countre weight at the same time.
