Love it, really handy, easy to open and fill with items quickly, clamshell opening comes in handy for getting quick access to items. The zippers and fabric are super high quality and everything works really well. I'm using it daily for hikes, work and EDC. Also able to mount my Savotta Kukkaro to carry small items. Its fantastic, 5/5 would recommend. This will be your new favorite EDC backpack, i guarantee.
An ideal size for daily use and the bag’s full opening can prove very practical. The backpack is very high quality and very sturdy!

I’m very pleased with the Niukka 20L. It’s my everyday bag for work, a quick trek, light shopping, daytrips and everything along those lines. The build/layout is simple but very versatile. And adding internal or external pouches offers great flexibility. What I appreciate the most about the bag is not the look, the design or any other specific feature. It’s is the feel of the bag! It feel solid, simple, durable, the zippers and straps run smooth, the way it sits on my bag… it’s just feels… trustworthy. It feels like it’s going to last as well as it performs. I’ve been a boyscout for 13years, active army for 12 and outdoor enthusiast for another 10. And this is the best bag I’ve had in this size. Thank you!

This bag is awesome, super versatile. Perfect for college, short hikes, or as a go-bag. It's got great internal organization with two mesh pockets. And with a little creativity, you can even attach some pouches to the side. Seriously, it's a great bag.
After using the Savotta Niukka daily for my commute, I can confidently say it has completely nailed my requirements for an urban everyday carry (EDC) pack. If you are looking for a bombproof, no-nonsense bag for the daily grind, this is it. Here is how it holds up in a daily office routine: The Laptop Situation: My main concern was fitting a 16-inch laptop (including its protective sleeve). While it’s a tight squeeze, it fits into the hydration bladder compartment perfectly. I do have to slightly flip/fold back the top edge of the bag to slide it in and out smoothly, but it quickly becomes second nature and part of the daily routine. Once it's in, it sits secure against the back. Capacity & Organization: Aside from the laptop, it effortlessly swallows all the daily essentials and tech pouches. The main compartment is straightforward, and the pack works beautifully for organizing tech, cables, and minor gear without feeling bulky. Urban Performance: Even though Savotta is known for rugged military and outdoor gear, the Niukka transitions flawlessly into the city. It handles the daily commute like a champ, fits easily into tight spaces, and looks low-profile and professional enough for an office environment. Verdict: It’s a fantastic, durable EDC bag that perfectly fulfills all my needs in the urban jungle. If you want a pack that survives the daily commute while keeping your tech safe, the Niukka is highly recommended.

Bought this a few weeks ago for EDC to and from work. Fits everything I need or want to carry in an urban environment, and tidy appearance means it doesn’t look out of place in an office tower. Today, I took it out on a family hike in Jasper, AB, Canada, and it again proved itself up to the job. Was able to fit rain jacket and pants, water bottle and some other essentials for a May hike in the Rockies. I’m very happy with this pack, I would definitely recommend the Niukka to anyone wanting a versatile backpack.
Very good sized backpack, looks good and feels very high-quality and durable. Zippered pockets inside are very nice. Easy and comfortable to carry. Price is high but this backpack lasts at least 200 years in my use. Highly recommended!

I used the Niukka 20L backpack during my round trip through Asia this year, and it exceeded all my expectations. I have previously used backpacks from 5.11 and Snigel, but the Niukka is my new favorite and will be accompanying me on many future trips. I think the size is perfect for carry-on luggage, keeping my most important items within easy reach. The material quality is excellent.

Arkikäyttöön varsin mainion kokoinen, arkisen näköinen ja 500D Cordura on ollut hyvä valinta reppuun. Sopivan letkeä, mutta ei vetelä vajaalla pakkauksella. Itsellä tämä toimii kamerareppuna parilla erilaisella insertillä, työreppuna ja välillä ollut jopa kauppakassina. Hieman olisin toivonut sisäpuolelle loop-tarranauhaa lääkintalaukun tavoin, että olisi saanut Trinket pussukoille käyttöä, mutta kannen kaksi kookasta vetoketjullista verkkotaskua ajaa aikalailla saman asian.
I have used this pack every day for the past couple of months, and it has proved to be a great little robust daysack. Even though it is designed to be streamlined and compact, it provides enough compartments to organise your gear effectively. The manufacture and materials used are quality, making it bombproof. Another great design from Savotta!
I love this Rucksack! My everyday carry item. I bought it to carry it in urban surroundings and also for outdoor activities. Enough space for a lot of things to carry. Very good quality like all Savotta products, but this new backpack fits perfectly in a gap, as it is the very first backpack for not outdoor use mainly. I was looking for a urban Rucksack of higher quality and I found it.
Fantastischer Rucksack! War schon auf einigen Touren dabei und ist für mich mit seinen 20L für Tagestouren vollkommen ausreichend. Da trag ich auch noch das Zeug meiner Freundin mit :) Ist bisher einer meiner besten, wenn nicht sogar DER beste Rucksack den ich bisher hatte. Ist zwar nicht ganz billig aber dafür kauft man auch Qualität. Wie heißt es doch so schön: ''Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal'' In diesem Sinne, Ich würde es wieder tun. It’s already been on several trips with me and with its 20L capacity, it’s perfectly sufficient for day hikes. I even carry my girlfriend’s gear in it as well :) So far, it’s one of the best if not THE best backpack I’ve ever had. It’s not exactly cheap, but you’re paying for quality. As the saying goes: '‘Buy cheap, buy twice.'’ With that in mind, I’d definitely buy it again. Waidmannsheil.

From the far north in Finnland to the hot and warmth of Israel 🇮🇱 and back to Germany 🇩🇪. We love this backpack. The way it fully opens allow to get what's needed without digging. We use it for trips in the dessert but also perfect to fit baby stuff like diapers. The integrated organizers are super useful. Get one the Nikkua is worth the money.

Just got mine and it already went in heavy rotation as an EDC to replace the Kahakka 25 L. It could use a separate compartment for the bladder/laptop but overall the pros far outweigh the cons, exceptional bag overall.
This weekend I tried Savotta Niukka, on a short trip during the day. The bag is incredibly easy to handle and pack things in. I had what I needed for the trip, and I could easily mount Savotta's Suur-Kukkaro on the front. The bag is simple and, as always, of the best quality.

I used this bag for the first time on my trip to Finland. It's the perfect size for me, as I don't pack much. Because it opens completely, it's easy to retrieve items even if they're jumbled together. However, retrieving items while on the go might be a little cumbersome. For frequently used items, make good use of the inner upper pocket! It would have been even better if there were a side compartment for drinks.
Store owner replied: It's great to hear that your Niukka 20L backpack was a perfect companion on your trip! You can attach a drinking bottle to the side of the Niukka 20L by using the side compression straps and the webbing loop, for example with a carabiner. But, the bottle will require some sort of attachment point for the carabiner. You can see an example picture of this on the Niukka 20L product page. Yksinkertaiselle miehelle yksinkertainen reppu, jolle Hatka ei kuitenkaan riitä. Yksinkertaisuudestaan huolimatta erittäin monipuolinen kapistus. Molle kujaston puuttuminen pohditutti useana iltana mutta laadukas tuotevideo lisätaskujen liittämisestä poisti tämänkin epäilyn. Toisaalta minimalistinen yleisvaikutelma taas toimi suurimpana houkuttimena. Reppu on kevyt ja miellyttävä kantaa selässä vaikka käyttäjä olisikin itä-suomalaisen geenipankin jämillä rakennettu. Lantiovyötä ei jää kaipaamaan edes 7 kilon kokonaispainolla, joka itsessään kertoo onnistuneesta suunnittelusta. Materiaalien osalta luotan savottaan ja siihen että seuraava päiväreppu ostetaan eläkkeelle eli 30 vuoden päästä.
