Medium size, straightforward boxy lidded general purpose pouch with SR buckle closure and snow collar. PALS and belt compatible attachment system. The 3x4 in the name refers to the PALS attachment footprint, three channels wide, four rows tall.
Our simple lidded general purpose pouches are best suited for bulkier items, as opposed to our zipped GP pouches which offer a lot of internal organization options for various small items. The lid and snow collar allow you to overpack the pouch a bit when needed.
The lid covers the top and sides of the pouch and the snow collar offers added protection and security when carrying smaller items. The webbing to which the male SR buckle is attached is bartacked to the pouch body, forming loops through which you can thread an elastic cord for compression. At the very bottom is a drainage grommet to let water out.
The rear features our standard PALS attachment webbing system with tuck tabs. Attaches to three channels and four rows of PALS webbing. The attachment straps can also be woven into belt loops for 45-50 mm wide belts.
Due to its shape and size, the 3x4 works well as a belt/side/front pouch on backpacks and utility/canteen pouch on combat belts and vests. This is a general purpose utility pouch, you know best what you want and need to carry in it, but here are some inspirational examples:

Pouch is what you would expect from Savotta: indestructible, designed with great eye to details, and works in rain, cold, and dark environment. What makes my pouch special is customizations made by Savotta. I was looking for a pouch for waist belt of my rucksack, that can be used with big gloves and that can hold keys and a phone. And no zippers, thank you very much, so it is easy to use from my waist and with gloves. This pouch was very close to what I wanted, but missed a critical feature. I wanted the pouch to have a separate compartment for keys, so they don’t scratch stuff in the main compartment. Also I wanted to have an attachment point, so the keys would not disappear into the woods. So I contacted Savotta gear care service to see if my wishes can be made true. With skillful persons Savotta, it took only one iteration to land on a design that can be added to the pouch and meets my requirements. Now my pouch has a separate pouch sewn on the back of the pouch for the keys and a D ring that keep keys, or other stuff I would rather not want to loose, secure. 10/10 service from Savotta!

As I do not like at all to drink in water pouches, I only dring in stainless steel bottles when out in the woods. It was always a little frustrating to stop, remove my Kantamus backpack, open the pack, take my bottle out of my bag, drink, and then put it back, close the pack, take it back on my shoulders... So I bought this pouches to put my bottle in it. I choose to use it with the Shoulder strap 40 mm to carry it on my shoulder, in front of me. It is so convenient ! I can now take my bottle out every 10/15 minutes, drink a sip or 2, and put it back in its pouches while walking ! I absolutely love it ! I had to modify a little bit the sewing of the strap, because it didn't have enough slack. I sew it back at the very end of the strap, and now the bottle fit fine. Savotta team ! I think it could be a good idea to update this pouch with 2 or 3 cm more in height, so it could better fit any steel bottle ! Still, I'm very happy with it, thanks a million Savotta !

Great size. Fits a nalgene with canteencup with room to spare. One downside was the short strap for the buckle.
