Compact hip pack with versatile internal organization and external attachment points. Hip packs are very versatile as is the Kukkaro even more so due to the numerous ways you can tweak and configure it to suit your specific needs.
Internally the bag features a number of options for organizing your gear: elastic webbing loops of various size, flat compartments, tie-down loops and a loop surface for attaching hook-backed organizers.
The rear wall has a large flat compartment for larger items. On top of the compartment a single row of 50 mm elastic webbing is sewn, forming two smaller ca. 4 cm wide loops and one larger ca. 9 cm wide loop, suitable for small stuff like multitools, lighters etc.
The front wall has two small flat compartments, with tie-down loops on top. A 18 x 10 cm loop surface on the inside of the front all allows you attachment of all sorts of hook-backed organizers etc.
A large, open-ended flat compartment on the back of the pack allows you to stow the waist strap away if needed and can be used as a large belt loop if you want to carry the Kukkaro on a belt or the hip belt of a backpack.
PALS webbing on the side wings and bottom allows you to attach small pouches, elastic cords and accessories. The webbing on the side wings can also be used to quick-attach the pack to the side compression straps of a backpack by using additional SR buckles or G-hooks. No such buckles or G-hooks are included with the pack.
Learn Finnish with Savotta: ”Kukkaro” is Finnish for a bag or pouch which is sort of a purse, but not a purse, nor just any small bag either. The free Finnish online dictionary www.sanakirja.org defines ”kukkaro” as ”a small, commonly leather pouch or bag, in which one carries small necessities and accessories, such as cash, tobacco etc.” By definition a small fanny pack like this is thus truly the ultimate ”kukkaro”.

Simply great product. Genuinely made and quality fabric all in all. You can feel that this product will last for years and tough wear.I even have the Niukka 20L backpack. Same quality. Savotta is now my go to brand. I will not hesitate to recommend this firm. However I do wonder why products from Finland has to go to Germany in order to reach Denmark. The shipping time seems a little to long for such distance. But everything arrived perfectly.

Pohjassa kaksi läpivientiä josta vesi pääsee valumaan ulos, sisällä pieni välilehti minkä taakse saa sitten vaikka puhelimen näytön suojaan kaikelta muulta pussukassa olevalta. Kyllä tää tämmösenäänki menee mutta olisi ollut hieno nähdä irroitettava vyötärönauha. Näin helpottuisi reppuun tai rinkkaan kiinnitys ja mahdollisesti myöhemmin hihnan vaihto jos alkuperäselle käy niinku allekirjottaneelle ja se pääsee pyörän pinnojen väliin ruhjoutumaan.

The perfect size, I can fit everything I usually store in my pockets and then some.
I easily fit my Zenfone 9, car keys, Secrid wallet, house keys without any sloshing thanks to the near compartments and elastic fasteners. There is also a lot of extra room in the main compartment for a small first-aid kit, a shopping bag and a power bank / phone charger or a small compact camera.
It's really well put together, no threads or uneven seems, ‘Savotta must have some kind of wizard stationed at the sewing machine.
I have the brown choice of color.
The velcro in the front is also a cool addition.

I am not sure if this is legal way to use it, but anyway, I use my kukkaro hip pack in my plate carriers's cummerbund as a easily removable first aid pouch. Now I can use it as normal ifak when PC is on, or I can just take kukkaro off my PC, and use it as a normal hip pack when I dont need to wear PC, but I want keep first aid stuff with me. Under the hip pack I keep Benchmade strap cutter. 5/5 product.

Decent sized fanny pack in reassuring Savotta quality. Not only you can wear it belt or sling style: you can also hook it up to your Kahakka 15 liter as an additional outer pocket. Flip over the G-hooks to make sure it never comes off (see photo). Love this versatility.
