description

 •
The WS-400 is compact enough for carrying strapped on top of a rucksack or packed into an ahkio. The feet fold neatly away for transport and are quickly deployed for operation, the cutouts on the bottom of the feet allow you to use long pieces of wood as a base for the stove – raising it higher up for easier use and better heat emission inside a tent.

With the 80 mm chimney pipe port in the middle the top of the stove offers two high temperature surfaces for cooking on. Never fry or cook any food directly on the stove itself though, always use a pan or pot.

The oval shape and assembly methods result in a very strong construction, making the stove stable and resistant to dents and deformation due to heat, even when red-hot.

CLEAN AND EFFICIENT SECONDARY COMBUSTION

More heat with less firewood and almost zero harmful, and wasteful, emissions. A secondary combustion, or secondary burn, stove is designed to ignite the gasses emitted from burning wood which then turns them into thermal energy. In practice this means more warmth within your tent and far less wasted energy and noxious gasses blowing out the top of the chimney. This is a very good thing!

The WS-400 stove features a clean burning and very effective combustion process: Primary air enters from the front and back of the stove directly under the fire grate. This enables rapid ignition and steady combustion. Pre-heated secondary air is introduced to the stove’s top section through a flame plate in the door. The secondary air raises the combustion gas temperature, producing cleaner combustion at higher temperatures. The location of the gas combustion under the hotplates also accelerates and enhances their performance.
