Thanks to their design Hawu tents do not require complex pole sets and in most situations a tree trunk serves as the centre pole. Still certain situations demand an actual centre pole to be used (treeless terrain or the use of the Hawu extension piece).

The Hawu centre pole consists of three telescopic pieces and can be adjusted by degrees from 70 cm to 184 cm. The adjustment is done with steel pins, which are dummy corded to the pole for safety.
