At last! I now own a Kupilka, and it serves its purpose perfectly as a container for my morning coffee. But seriously, it’s perfect - it doesn’t burn my fingers when the contents are steaming hot, yet it dissipates heat quickly enough that I don’t fall asleep before the first sip. The Savotta branding only adds to the cool factor. I love it.

I am extremely enthusiastic about the quality of the house of Savotta... Wish there were more manufacturers of normal everyday life who would just as much like their standards for quality and commitment... Greetings from Rietberg, Germany

I bought this while browsing when buying another product. It wasn’t my main purchase. I was attracted first and foremost to the shape and colour. Reading further, I was intrigued by the material. I haven’t used it “in the field” yet, but I have enjoyed drinking coffee out of it in my armchair. The pleasure of brewing up outdoors awaits. I am told Finnish reindeer herders use them. I’m sure they are discriminating customers too.

I offered it to my brother as a Christmas gift, because he loves Savotta, and he really likes it!

Very Nice Design, somehow has a personal smell from material.

It does add some "extra taste" to hot beverages (i.e. coffee). This was expected and did not surprise since it is no ceramic/glass. I hope this wears off with time.

A bit pricey for a piece of what looks like wood but is indeed “plastic”. I was expecting a wooden cup which is more suitable for the outdoors in my opinion. In a nut shell, too expensive. Understanding that it is produced from natural fiber composite… i prefer wood.

Store owner replied: Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We completely understand the appeal of traditional wooden cups, as it is the traditional material of the “Kuksa”. But we’d like to explain why we’ve chosen Kupilka and their Kareline® natural fibre composite for ours. Kareline® is made in Finland from 50% eco-friendly softwood-based cellulose fibres and 50% food-grade polyolefins. This unique blend combines the look and feel of natural materials with the practical durability of modern composites. Kareline® cups are: - Food-safe and hygienic – suitable for both hot and cold drinks and meals. - Durable in outdoor use – they won’t crack, absorb flavours, or suffer from repeated exposure to water and temperature changes. - Low-maintenance – no need for oiling or special care, yet they still age beautifully over time. We partnered with Kupilka, a Finnish manufacturer, because they share our values of sustainability, functionality, and long product lifespans. So while it may not be traditional carved wood, this material ensures the cup will serve reliably in the outdoors for years, which in turn makes it a sustainable choice in the long run.
