OVERVIEW

Over the decades, our logo has evolved, reflecting different eras and design trends. Our very first logo, from when the company was still known as Pylkönmäen Nahkatyö (Pylkönmäki Leatherworks), featured the silhouette of Saana Fell, a landmark in Lapland. This element remained even as the company underwent a transformation in the 1960s, rebranding as Savotta Retkeilyväline (Savotta Outdoor Equipment). The new name, Savotta, comes from the Finnish word for a logging site or operation. Along with this change, the company relocated from Pylkönmäki to its current home in Karstula.
