Built with expertise from high quality materials, this bag is made to endure anything you should need to put it through.
The main compartment measures 35 x 25 x 50 cm and is accessed via a large zipper opening. The interior of the lid features strips of loop for attachment of hook backed accessories. The main compartment is a single cavernous space with two mesh pockets, one in each end, to help with organizing smaller items.
The external side pouch measures 35 x 23 x 5 cm and is designed for quick access and organization of smaller items and A4 documents. The back wall features two flat mesh pouches and D-ring and two webbing tabs for securing valuables via dummy cord or buckles. The interior of the front wall features loop for attachment of any hook backed accessories.
The flat hook-and-loop closure external pouches measure 24 x 20 cm, fits A5 documents and similar smaller items.
Two 10 x 15 cm fields of loop on the side and end of the bag accept most name tapes and a number of other identifiers. Any D-ring can also be used to attach name tags.
We put extra effort into providing the best possible carrying experience. The length of the carry handles keep the bag snugly at a comfortable carry height, offering good control. Each end features a hauling handle to allow comfortable lifting during transport. Six steel D-rings are used to attach the included adjustable shoulder strap, offering various orientations to suit personal taste. The D-rings are also the attachment points for the optional padded shoulder straps.
MODULAR AND ADAPTABLE
The strips of loop inside the main compartment and side pouch lid accept various hook-to-loop attachable accessories, pouches and organizers. This allows you to customize your bag according to your preferences, or build it into a specialized tool kit for what ever work you need it for.
The closed cell foam padding inside the zippered lid and bottom of the bag can easily be removed, replaced or reinforced. This allows the end-user to easily adapt the bag with added padding or plastic sheet inserts if that extra level of protection or padding is needed.
The Keikka series of bags can utilize an optional (sold separately) padded clip-on backpack harness. During backpack carry the closed cell foam padding inside the lid provides a basic level of comfort against your back, even when carrying nasty junk in the bag. When backpack carrying a bag like this it needs to be as un-uncomfortable as possible, let’s face it – this will never be near as comfortable as an actual backpack. Instead of building our bags with unergonomic, overly long carry handles that double up as shoulder straps we decided to make this a separate option for those who really need it, allowing us to properly purpose build each carry option for the intended function.
HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION
The Keikka series of bags are made to endure a long life of service. The carry handles are made from a single length of 50 mm wide webbing which wraps around the bottom of the bag, sandwiched in between two layers of 1000D Cordura. Stress points are reinforced with double stitching and seams are finished with binding tape to prevent fraying. All load carrying buckles are steel, and will probably outlast the rest of the bag.
The majority of materials we use for our commercial production are the same which we use in equipment for the Finnish Defence Forces and other defence and security clients. Our most commonly used fabric in load carrying equipment is extremely wear resistant 1000D Cordura, as per FDF specs, with polyurethane coating on the inside. The webbing and edge tape we use are, again as per FDF specs, strong polyester webbing in various widths and thicknesses for different applications.

A very excellent and well-made bag that I purchased from Varusteleka (waiting on that Savotta US store!!!). I have used it to travel on airplanes, to the gym, and to the range. I appreciate how well-designed and well-thought out the features of this bag are and the many pockets and dividers it has inside.
It has ample storage to contain clothing and toiletries for my travels which are usually one week in length. It's also more than capable of storing my entire range kit which includes the Varjelus plate carrier with the 3x2 placard, 2x double mag pouches, S-IFAK kit, groin protector, an Opscore helmet, and my gun belt that is not depicted with plenty of room to spare! I am extremely impressed by this product and will be looking forward to many more Savotta products in the future!
The information on the Savotta website is perfect, followed by fast delivery to Belgium.. The 50-liter capacity is the perfect size, especially if you buy the carrying system with it, which gives you a great backpack for the same price. The Velcro straps on the inside are a plus. Super easy to attach with the accessories.

I'm using the 30 liter and 50 liter bags for EMS-Gear. The smaller bag for regular shifts and the bigger bag for shifts as incident commander. Both are great. I love the quality and inconspicuous look compared to the bright orange bags my colleagues use.
Excellent for MMA/matrial arts training. You can fit in easily heavy duty shin guards, 12oz gloves + two pairs of grabling gloves, GI and all basics stuff i.e towel, water bottle, first aid kit. Love it.
Built like a tank, just how i like it. The 50l is the perfect size, especially if you get the harness, then you have a nice backpack as well.
Absolutely zero stiching issues or qc oversights.
A warm recommendation to anyone wanthing high quality gear, you wont regret it.
first of all : I like the keikka a lot, its just what I needed.
A tough bag for my travels.
but I have a few remarks on practicality :
1. the velcro on the handle opens to easily,
it isn't sticky enough
2. and I bought grip zipper pulls for aid to open the
bag it opens a lot smoother now
3. the same goes for the trinket pouches I bought,
zipper pulls for the win!!!!
due to the quality of the materials I still will recommend it to other people

Mostly using it as a gym bag with either the shoulder strap or the backpack straps for the bike. Filled it up with tools for a trackday once +/- 40kg maybe, no problems. Incredibly happy with the durability. Can be a bit wonky with the shoulder strap when half full though.
10/10 for me, will get a Kahakka too very soon for sure!
Awesome bag. Haven't taken the 50L out yet, but one trip with the 80L convinced me to get the 50L for more casual travel.
As a civilian travaller, I have been curious what you can pack into one of these. So, what does it fit? This is what you see in the picture:

And did not have to do much magic with the zipper yet. And that's just the main compartment, side pouches still available...
Works great for rock climbing. Fits everything i need. Rope, shoes, helmet, harness and more. Backpack straps makes it easy to transport even with a heavy load.
To be quite honest I'm disappointed by one small but key part of the bag. The handle is extremely uncomfortable.
When you carry it normally the flap is on the bottom side, meaning the flap and seams digs into your fingers especially if the bag is heavy. The straps and flap are too short to turn it around, saved a few cm of fabric. And there’s no other padding.
Bag works well otherwise but this is a serious oversight in my opinion. I duct taped it, looks legit crappy now but works.

Regarding the carry handle, you should be able to rotate or position the flap so it faces upwards when carrying. That usually prevents the flap edge from pressing into your fingers. If it feels like there isn’t quite enough slack to do that comfortably, feel free to reach out to our customer service and we can take a closer look with you.
If you often carry the bag when it’s heavily loaded, it may also be worth considering carrying it on your shoulder or back.
A shoulder strap can take the load off your hand entirely. If you need padding, we have heard positive experiences on people using the Griffin Sling MOD.
Another good option is the Kahakka backpack harness, which ables you to carry the bag on your back.

I bought Keikka about three years ago, so this is kinda late review. During that time, it was my primary bag that I used for travelling. It went with me to three continents, and more than 15 flights, including some pretty shady "airports" in Africa and South America, where bag loading is not for the weak (luggage). It spent many kilometers chilling on the back of the pickup truck, going through deserts, and waited patiently during months of stay in the rainforest. I carried my undies in it, not necessarily clean ones, but also heavy, metal objects with hard edges.
Suffice to say, the bag STILL looks new-ish, all stitching solid, no holes, no nothing. Zippers, which usually die first, are still gucci. The metal parts are banged up, but that just adds to the character.
At this point, it is safe to assume that this thing might outlive me. Thanks, Savotta!

Mine has been with me on every continent except Antarctica. It has endured the most zero-fucks-given baggage handlers you can imagine at airports, been dragged fully loaded with tools across rusty ship and shipyard floors, and regularly used as a stool in wet or muddy conditions.
It has survived all of this without punctures, even after being left unattended one floor below an active welder. It is fast to grab from a luggage carousel and easily identifiable, even in a hurry, and it fits enough tools, clothes, and miscellaneous gear to last for several weeks.
My only real negative is the bare shoulder strap when carrying heavy loads for longer periods. I am aware that Savotta offers a full backpack harness, but for my use a single-shoulder carry is preferred. I have jerry-rigged a load-bearing shoulder pad onto mine, and such an option would be a welcome addition. Nevertheless, I am confident the bag will outlast me.
I took it with me for a 2 weeks trip to Japan and it could easily fit all of my clothes + a generous amount of souvenirs.
Its size was just enough to fit within the carry-on limits of my airline and it felt more practical than a big hard-shell suitcase when traveling, especially in trains and metro stations. In that regard I also appreciated the front and back handles to more easily lift it up or pull it down from overhead compartments.
That said it did end up pretty heavy by the end of trip, which put a bit of a toll on my shoulder (but that's really more of my own fault for stuffing it that full than the bag's itself 😅). I might have to try the backpack harness to better distribute the load on my back next time.
Overall really solid and practical bag and I will keep on using it over a suitcase for 2-3 weeks trips from now on.
The Keikka bag is perfect for everyday tasks. Gym going, hiking in the woods, and work trips (suit jacket fits by only folding it once), also it perfectly fits in the overhead lockers on flights. Materials are rugged, and the stitching is spot on.
The only issue is the shoulder strap. Sometimes it slides off your shoulder because the material is pretty slippery with most rain jackets and others, especially when wet. Also, over a long period of carrying, it sometimes eats into the shoulder.
A little bit of padding would make this a 10/10!
The keikka 50L is my go-to bag for pretty much anything. It's the perfect size for carry-on baggage, so I use it for all my work trips. I use it at the grocery store a lot too: I get a shopping cart, open the keikka and place it inside, then I can scan the items with a hand scanner in the store and throw them in the bag. Easy peasy. The kahakka backpack harness is a great addition to carry it on your back. Keep in mind this is not a backpack so carrying 20kg with the harness won't be pleasant, but doable at least for short distances. The build quality is excellent as with everything from savotta. I'm convinced this bag will outlive me and be a joy to use all my life.
The best damn duffel ever made. Works perfectly for weekend trips or longer journeys. Even fits as a carry-on bag for most airlines. Never have to worry about tears, holes, broken zippers or other nuisances due to the reliable Savotta materials. Easy to organise both small items and bigger ones like clothing and such. The backpack harness is a must-have addon in my opinion, but it's nice that it's sold seperately for those that want it.

I purchased this back in order to have the most robust carry-on lugguage available, along with shoulder straps to have hands free in airports. The internal and external pockets are great and this is by far the most durable bag that I have. I use this when not travelling for sports gear and combine it with Jääkäri S... Well done guys.
